Myo-Reps

An efficient rest pause method for building volume quickly on isolation exercises.

Training1 question answered

Definition

Myo reps are a rest pause protocol: perform an activation set to near failure, rest 3–5 breaths, then do mini sets of 3–5 reps with the same short rest until you can no longer hit the target reps. They pack 5+ effective reps into under 2 minutes — ideal for lagging muscles or busy schedules.

Real questions

When should I use myo reps?

Best for the last exercise of a muscle group, on isolation movements, or when time is limited. Avoid on heavy compounds.
