Abs Are Built In The Kitchen — A Coach Mac Nutrition Comic

The Lesson

"It's only one cheat meal" is the most expensive sentence in fitness. Once a week sounds harmless until you zoom out. Fifty two weekends a year, three to four thousand surplus calories a pop, and suddenly the scale is moving the wrong way while the training is fine.

Your body does not care that the burger was on a Sunday. It cares about the weekly average. You can train like a machine Monday through Friday and erase the entire deficit in one Saturday sitting. That is not discipline failing — that is math. A pound of fat is about thirty five hundred calories. Most "cheat meals" alone clear that.

The fix is not joyless eating. The fix is the boring stack: a hand of protein, a fist of carbs, a thumb of fat, and a couple cups of veg, twice or three times a day, water everywhere in between. Prep it on Sunday so Tuesday at 7pm doesn't become a decision. Decisions made when you're hungry, tired, or social are the decisions that wreck the week.

Train hard so you have somewhere to put the food. Eat on purpose so the training actually counts. Sleep enough that hunger stops gaslighting you. That's the whole nutrition playbook in three sentences, and it is exactly what every Foster Physique meal plan is built on — done-for-you portions, real meals, no powders, no shame.

Pick the plan, follow it for seven days, then look at the mirror. The kitchen will do the talking.
